Kids Club

Welcome to our Kids Club!

The Kids Club is an OST “Out of school time” program licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) for children ages 5 – 10 years of age. Within this program, children are enrolled year round. The Kids Club offers afterschool care as well as a full day summer program. We have a trained staff of professionals who have all been through a thorough background screening including fingerprinting.  All staff are certified in CPR/First Aid, 51A training, Heads-Up concussion training, Water safety training, as well as on going professional development in various areas. Within our program, we provide our members with the tools to meet their ever-growing needs in the 21st century. Our newly renovated program space offers a variety of fun and educational activities that include Homework Help, Arts & Crafts, Science & Cooking, Reading, Physical Education, Dance, Computer Games, Outdoor Play, Music & Movement, Creative Thinking, Swimming, Board Games, and Free Play.
Kids Club Summer

Welcome to our Kids Club Summer Enrichment

Our Kids Club OST Licensed Summer Enrichment Program is designed for children who range from 5-10 years of age. This program resides at our Boys & Girls Club of Lynn location and runs from June 24th through August 23rd. Our summer program offers a variety of age appropriate activities each day to enrich and enlighten the minds and bodies of children enrolled, while also gaining an introduction to our program offerings. Additionally, campers will visit Camp Creighton in Middleton, MA weekly.  Kids Club Summer Enrichment is licensed under the State Department of Public Health; Division of Community Sanitation; license issued by Lynn Board of Health.

AFTER SCHOOL DROP IN

Welcome to our After School Drop In!

Our After School Drop In program is geared for children 8-18 years old. At the Boys & girls Club of Lynn, we offer specialized programs that include Triple Play, Dance, Power Hour, and STEAM activities to list a few.  With our newly renovated building, our members engage in the most up to date technologies and facilities that are offered in this everchanging environment. These programs are offered to enhance our city’s youth with the opportunity to play, grow, and learn safely.

With the guidance of our trained staff, our afterschool programming is designed to develop critical skills and healthy habits through fun hands-on learning projects and activity focused clubs. Children and teens that consistently attend our afterschool programming are more likely to graduate from high school on time and demonstrate the skills they need to be ready for a post-secondary education and a 21st century career.
TEEN CENTER

Welcome to our Teen Center!

Our Teen Center is geared for teens ages 13-18 years old. We offer a fun and safe place for our inner- city teens to utilize their afternoons effectively and efficiently. Our program includes Dance, Fitness, Basketball, Gaming, Torch Club, Keystone Club and more! We are so excited to be able to offer our members a place to do their homework, workout in our Planet Fitness gym, or take a dance class in our new studio.

The Teen program runs Monday thru Friday with extended hours and enrichment opportunities. Teens will greatly benefit from the Boys & Girls Club of Lynn by learning the importance of responsibility and understanding on where they fit into for their future. We take great pride in guiding our teens to help mold them into productive responsible and caring citizens of their city.
Sports Leagues

Welcome to Sports Leagues!

At the Boys & Girls Club of Lynn, we are proud to offer sports leagues for our youth!  Some of our leagues include Basketball, Floor Hockey, Cheerleading and Dance teams. Our leagues are broken into age groups to help ensure a perfect fit for each sport.  These Club programs help develop physical fitness, reduce stress and promote a positive use of leisure time, appreciation for the environment and interpersonal skills. Members will also learn to become part of a team and understand the importance of working well with others.
CAMP CREIGHTON

Welcome to Camp Creighton!

The Boys & Girls Club of Lynn offers summer camp programs at its Middleton-based Camp Creighton. With 25 acres of Creighton Pond, more than 150 acres of peaceful woodlands, fishing, boating & kayaking, hiking trails, 2 athletic fields, volleyball court, basketball court, a playground, Olympic sized swimming pool, picnic areas, arts & crafts and a large recreation lodge, our campers are sure to have a summer to remember.

Located at 210 Essex Street, Middleton, MA, the possibilities at Camp Creighton are endless!  Camp Creighton runs for 9 weeks starting from June 24th and ending on August 23rd. We offer weekly themes with corresponding activities, BBQ’s, a DJ featuring karaoke, fun dance parties and lastly the opportunity to create life-long friends. Camp Creighton is the ultimate vacation destination for kids.

Please note: Enrollment is limited by our license which maxes out at 225 campers per week. It is advised that you enroll your child for as many sessions as necessary to ensure that a space will be available for your camper. Utilizing our 150 acres of serene grounds, Camp Creighton campers are placed in age-appropriate groups through an unmatched activity schedule. Our age groups are broken into the following: 6-7yrs, 8-10yrs, and 11-13yrs. Each group is led by a highly qualified counselor who is passionate and dedicated to youth development.

Lynn Summer Campers

This includes the Lynn & surrounding area residents, ages 8-13. These campers are bussed daily from the Boys & Girls Club of Lynn to Camp Creighton in Middleton, MA- 5 days a week. The daily drop-off is between 8:00-8:15am, the bus leaves promptly by 8:30am each day. The bus then returns back to the Boys & Girls Club of Lynn and pick-up is from 4:00-4:30pm.

Middleton Summer Campers

This includes Middleton & surrounding area residents, ages 6 -13. Each day a parent or guardian will drop off at Camp Creighton between the times of 8:00-9:00am.  End of the day pick-up is between 3:30 - 4:30pm.

CIT’s

Our Councilors in Training, better known as our CITs, are campers ages 14+. CITs have the unique opportunity to build leadership skills, particularly in assisting head counselors with younger participants. The goal of our CIT program is to help participants develop and learn general skills of leadership that they can utilize throughout their lives. There will be an application process for this position, please contact Darby at dconnolly@bgcl.org for more information.

Camp Staff and Licensing

Under the leadership of Camp Director Darby Connolly: dconnolly@bgcl.org, direct staff includes Boys & Girls Clubs trained professionals, college students with camping and recreational experience as well as certification in CPR and First Aid. All staff participate in a comprehensive staff training program and a Criminal Investigation Check. Counselor to camper ration is determined by age. Creighton Pond Day Camp is licensed under State Department of Public Health; Division of Community Sanitation; license issued by Middleton Board of Health. Parents have the right to review camp policies in accordance with State Statue (190 D).
