Volunteers Always Needed
Our commitment to youth is made possible by support from people like you. If you would like to make a difference in the lives and well being of our youth, you can do so by volunteering your time as a member and role model. As you scroll through the various programs and departments of our Club, please remember that we have a constant need for volunteers in all areas of Club operation. Whether your interest is in athletics, technology, the arts or any other programming skills, we have a role for you to play in our mission. For the safety of our members, we do CORI checks on all volunteers.
Internships at our Club
If you are a local college student and you are looking for an ideal location to complete your internship requirements, please consider the opportunities at our Club. We can accomodate you with many positions within our daily program offerings.
Work Study Positions
Our Club can accomodate numberous work study placements through our main facility on North Common Street. We have working realtionships with all local colleges. Unlike some work-study choices, our Club offers a fulfulling experience as you have a direct impact on the development of our youth. Please let your college administrator know that you are interested in working at our Club.
High School Students
Many High School students are required to volunteer a pre-determined amount of hours in community service as a condition of eligibility for membership in groups like the National Honor Society. Our Club is a great place for High School Students to perform this service. Our members range in age form 8 - 18 so there is always a place to assign these fine students.
Mentoring Opportunities
We have many members who would greatly benefit by volunteers who would take the time to share their knowledge with an individual child for 1 hour a week for a 6 week period. All mentoring takes place at the Boys & Girls Club during club hours.
