Creighton Pond Day Camp
 

 Creighton Pond Day Camp, located at 210 Essex Street, Middleton, MA, is for girls and boys ages 6 through 14. 

 

Located on 25-acre Creighton Pond, the Camp features over 150 acres of woodland, 2 athletic fields, volleyball court, basketball court, hiking trails, Olympic sized outdoor swimming pool, picnic and playground areas, arts & crafts gazebo, bath houses and a large recreation lodge.

 

Camp Staff and Licensing

 

Under the leadership of Camp Director Leland Boutilier, staff includes Boys & Girls Clubs trained professionals, college students and mature high school students with camping and recreational experience as well as certification in CPR and First Aid. All staff  participate in a comprehensive staff training program and a Criminal Investigation Check.  Counselor to camper ratio is 1-10.  Creighton Pond Day Camp is licensed under State Department of Public Health; Division of Community Sanitation; license issued by Middleton Board of Health.  Parents have the right to review camp policies in accordance with State Statue (190 D).

 

Age-appropriate Activities

 

Campers are placed in coed groups based on their age and the grade level they will be entering the following fall.  Younger children follow a pre-established, well-rounded program.  Middle and Upper Campers have more opportunities to choose their own activities.

 

What Will My Child Learn?

 

Campers attending Creighton Pond Day Camp can be expected to learn to swim, water safety, an appreciation for nature, environmental responsibility, healthy habits, good sportsmanship, how to work as a member of a team and how to interact with other children from a diversity of backgrounds.

A $40.00 one time non refundable registration fee is required for each camper. Additionally a $25.00 deposit per week is required for each child upon registration.  Complete payment must be made prior to week attending.  Full payment is required for weeks that are reserved whether camper attends or not; deposits are only refundable if notified 2 weeks in advance or in case of health problems (note from child’s physician is required).

 

Camp DropOff and Pick Up Times

 

Lynn Area – The Boys & Girls Club of Lynn, 25 North Common St., Lynn,  will open for campers  at 8:00 AM.  The bus will leave at 8:40 AM and return to the Club at approximately 4:30 PM.  The Club will remain open until 5:00 PM.    (Bus transportation is only available from the Lynn Club House.)

 

Middleton and Surrounding Areas – Parents may drop their campers off at Creighton Pond  at 8:00 AM and must be picked up by 5:00 PM. 

 

Please Note: A $15.00 late fee will be charged for each ten minute increments in which the child is not picked up by 5:00 at the end of the day.

 

Health History, Immunization and Dispensing Medication

 

In accordance with State Health Department Regulations, each child attending camp must have a Health History form signed by a parent or guardian and an Immunization Record signed by a physician on file before attending camp.  Medication can only be dispensed with signed authorization from camper’s pediatrician and the medication is in its original pharmacy container labeled with the date; camper’s name and name of medication.  No exceptions will be made

 

Medical Emergency

 

In the event a child is injured or becomes ill while participating in the program, the Camp Director will attempt to notify the child’s parents/guardians or the emergency reference given in the application.  However, if none of the foregoing can be reached or if in the judgment of the Camp Director immediate medical attention is necessary the Camp Director will obtain medical assistance as it may deem necessary or proper. 

 

Lunch

 

Lunches will be provided.  If you wish to send a lunch with you child, it will be stored in a refrigerator until lunch time.  Vending machines are available to purchase snacks and soda.  Correct change is needed.
